The best part is that the owner and a thief would have to use the exact same method to "unlock" the bike

Pfft, think we're made of money?! Undo it with a pin and re-use it

didn't have a lock but wanted a maccy d's. dilemma. was told i wasn't allowed through the drive-throu by the young lad working there but managed to convince them to send a member of staff out to look after my bike while i dined. great customer service, great big mac

they thought it more convenient to gift you a personal valet than to let you go through the drive through. Ludicrous.
Also cool story bro,
and TooTallTim I LOLed

My girlfriend just texted me to say she managed to lock her bike to someone else's for most of the day while she was in the library. Luckily he was nice about it, rather than being angry, or using the forum's suggested method of demanding she sleep with him.
a girl did this to me about a month ago. i was stressed and had plans for the evening and my bike was locked to someone else's! it was very inconvenient timing but i was an absolute gent. i just put my lock around both frames and left a note with my mobile number and an explanation. when i met her i made sure she understood how thoughtless it was in a nonaggressive way. i'm still proud of my lack of rant.
this makes me inexplicably angry

Nice...! But maybe a QR code and/or a goo.gl link, as it's shorter? ( http://goo.gl/uSWwH )

Don't agree, the one beginning LFGSS is easier to recall / transcribe and more identifiable. I like it.

Attention Hoxton Sq bike owner.
Bad news: your wheels have been nicked. Good news: your frame is still dry. -

Am sure the boss would be able to make a slightly more friendly link that directs straight to this thread. lfgss.com/wntlyb or something.
