Gerald, the CTF can't follow up every theft report. They do monitor eBay and Gumtree listings and gather evidence, though. I think they also log reports like this that they get. As I understand it, if no owner comes forward there is often nothing they can do, as at minimum they need a theft report to take action. It may not be possible to save this one, but keep your eyes peeled--better opportunities will come along, I'm sure!
