I cannot fucking stand beefheart. not even in a love hate way, I just fucking hate it. a mate of mine basically listens to nothing but beefheart and zappa and it just makes me feel physically nauseous, I have an absolutely visceral reaction to it. makes me picture sweaty rehearsal rooms and congealed spaghetti and bricks for ashtrays and red lightbulbs and greasy hair. ghastly.
big fan of electronic noise stuff about 40% of the time - this thread has inspired me to have another listen to that three track Venetian Snares record. brilliant. I'll hate it again tomorrow.
