Might be getting a Planet X Model B wheel for the front. Will save over 250g on the Halo Aerorage I have right now. It's quick release so can't ride it on the track. Hopefully getting it dirt cheap though so who cares!

About 4 kids (mid teens they looked like) on Leamington Road, all on brightly coloured "fixies", though they were stopped on the pavement. No foot retention that I could see, so more likely single speed (I hope!)

Cheers man. Mine's gained some weight since I first put it together. I was sure it was down to ~8.0kg at one point. Now it's rocketed up to ~8.8kg. It's down to light brackets, computer, bigger chainring, more chain links, a bigger cog and these steel track drops which added about 400g from the alloy road drops. That said, there's no flex in them at all. They're amazing. Just super, super, heavy. The fact I run a brake brings the weight up a bit too.
