It runs a bit deeper than that. Turns out the place changed hands a few weeks back, nanny McPhee is the new owner's partner and according to her they don't really want our business anyway.
There haven't been any other waiting staff the last few times I've been so I suspect they are trying to cut staff costs and running it between themselves. Given that leaves them a bit shorthanded you can understand why they are not keen on the inconvenience of customers coming in and paying them for food. Not sure how sustainable a business model that is but good luck to them and goodbye.
