Came to ride my MTB over the weekend and something odd had happened to the fork. The amount of travel was looking a bit skinny and the forks were bottoming out. Had a quick look at the forks and there is some steel rod sticking out of the underside of the fork.
In this picture you can see the offending article with the black plastic caps on ? This steel bar seems to have dropped out through the bottom of the fork. The other side is fine and all looks ok. I admit to adjusting the left hand fork crown adjuster before the ride ? Did I undo a screw that released that bar ?
Is there somewhere I can get a pair of Pace forks serviced ? They have been fine for the last few years but I guess they could do with a little TLC ?
How do I get the rod to go back up inside the fork ?
