There is no such thing as shameful time-wasting if you are a tiny club playing away at a much bigger club.
As for pitiful fan base... they're a small club who are over-acheiving. 'Pitiful' when referring to fans should only be used to criticise a club whose fans can't be arsed to travel to away games or whose home attendance halves because they go on a bad run.
All IMHO of course.
Maybe I should have said shameless, it sounds a little less damning, but they if they'd left it a bit later than 20 minutes into the game to start then they might have seemed a bit classier.
Fair enough, it's hard to get to London for a Monday night game, but 200 away fans at a Premier League game IS pitiful.
I'm always torn about Wigan. It's relatively local to where I'm from, it's a friendly town, I like the manager and his style a lot, but at the same time, it seems like a football club forced on a town that doesn't really want it. That artificiality means I'm always caught in two minds about them.
Still, really hope they stay up, and that Blackburn and QPR go down.
