  • Not for long... I'm gonna drop off the grid.

  • Really enjoyed Monsters, anyone seen it?

For a tiny budget the special effects are good and not overdone, does take a few liberties with geography but worth the watch if you like that kind of thing.

Yeah, I liked it too. As well as the unfeasibly small budget, the 2 leads are a real life couple, and pretty much every other part was filled by locals who volunteered as extras en route. Goes to show what can be done with 35mm lenses and digital recording.

  • I watched Moon again last night thinking perhaps I'd been unfair on it when I saw it on release - no, it's still bloody awful with a really bad ending

  • I watched 'the woman in black'
    Nearly pooped my pants

  • The Guard - what a fucking great film. Laughed pretty much the whole way through. Good soundtrack too. More of the same please.

  • Yes, I loved that film. Gleeson is fantastic in that role.

  • Does anyone know the nearest independent cinema to Island Gardens? I only know of RichMix but wondered if anything was closer. Maybe I should search film by film... I cant find Attenberg on Flixter or online :(

  • Greenwich Picturehouse.

  • I watched God Bless America last night. It has strong similarities with Super but I enjoyed it. It is a bit preachy though.

  • Yeah enjoyed GBA too but the lead does love a 3 minute rant. Good film overall though.

About to get into The Smaritan looks like it might actually be a good Samuel L Jackson film (shock!).

    I'll reserve judgement though...

    Both excellent.

well Done to Radclilffe for choosing a damned scary movie! And the Guard is Gleeson's best role ever. Showed it to my cousin from Cork and he p*ssed himself all the way through

  • I have no idea what that means.
    Ok.

    You're a film maker right?
I have been involved in making films in various ways.

    Errors? Do tell.
I'm not going to watch it again. But for a start...

The dusting off of the 'old' track bike in the shed. It was clearly bought from Evans Cycles yesterday.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty the tree by the road wasn't a Siberian pine, and you don't make track boards from unseasoned wood.

etc. A fucking school kid knows this.

  • Great. Care to share your oeuvre?
Would the bike have to be old? Couldn't it be hardly used. 'cause of er...a death in the family? Bought from Evans too, well spotted.
All fucking school kids? Or just one?
You've heard of dramatic license I suppose? I this case used as a hook to hang the film around. So fucking what basically. You must be a riot at the cinema....
I saw it not as a film about cycling or cycle safety but a film about loss and coping with it. involving a lad who cycled.
    So it goes.

    Lol.

Half the shit you come out with on here sounds like it came from a fucking school kid.
It's a fictional film, you dick, not a histofact based documentary!

You are fast becoming the new scoble.

Fuck off with the personal insults.

You asked what I thought was wrong with it.

  • My short film 'Human Beings' has been shortlisted for a 2012 Vimeo Award and there is a public vote. It would be amazing if you guys could watch it and vote for it if you like it :-)

    Much appreciated :-)

You asked what I thought was wrong with it.

Yeah and I replied to your reply. Indicating where I thought it was wrong.
If you can't take it then you can fuck right off with your fuck off.

  • I rewatched Leon today, and was still enthralled by it. Amazing, as its at least the sixth or seventh time I've watched it. Brilliant film.

  • I watched The Orphanage and Notorious the other day. The Orphange was fucking weird I'm still not sure whether I enjoyed it. Despite the bad write ups I really enjoyed Notorious it was feel good somehow. Definitely for Biggie fans I wouldn't watch it of you're die hard West Side. Leon is sick love it^

  • The Orphanage is creepy and very atmospheric - I really enjoyed it, but not quite as much as Pan's Labyrinth.

Watched Tintin last night. Visually stunning, but left me feeling a little cold.

  • Anyone seen Marley yet?
Marley Official Trailer - Documentary - Bob Marley Movie (2012) HD - YouTube

    Will go see on Sunday

  • Nope
