  • My very little used Ron Cooper has to make some space.
I bought it in 1999, i think it was built around 97 judging by the components on it.

Unknown tubing, fillet brazed, centre BB to centre top tube is 48mm or 19 inches. Top tube centre headset to centre set tube is 530mm.
    Chrome forks.
Quite a few scratches, marks on paintwork.
The last 12 years it has does less than 1000 miles, and was virtually new when I bought it.

Collection preferred but I can arrange shipping for £15. Location London SE3.
    £170

  • Fucking bargain!

    Dat wishbone...

  • Shotgun! PMing you now!

  • Shotgun! PMing you now!

"Shotgun" is soooo much better than dibs.

  • Gulp.

  • .

  • I don't get this.

There is so much stuff going on here some days perfectly good gear gets buried under ..... how do you say, noise, that no one notices.

Then, after a blatant bump, or an answer on a wanted thread it re ignites.

More interest in the last hour than the past week

Punters - it is not google, look past the last 5 hours.

note - I have been flamed for looking resurrecting threads more than than some months old.

  • Ron Cooper is a legend.....he does not use a jig as he believes they add stress to the frame that harms it in some way.....plus that wishbone is rather lovely.

Don't much like dibs but shotgun is a whole lot worse and reminds me of my eldest step-daughter!

  • Ke35: Yes, you're right. This place is noisy, and sometimes great things get buried.

This is truly a great thing.

    2nd dibs, bagsies, shotguns, whatever.

  • Skulls - surely this is too small for you? or you thinking for when the younger grows?

    My recent Ron Cooper purchase...

  • Head turner! nice looking ride...did it sell

  • No
waiting on Skully and one other to get back to me.

Any one who actually fronts up with the money can have it.

  • Going in the loft til my lad's grown...

  • Good decision skulls

  • +1

  • Doesn't seem to be clear - for sale frame and fork !

I can sell the whole lot with complete Athena groupset ( headset, seatpost, hubs, brakes, shifters, front and rear mechs ) but the usual thing around here seems to be frame and forks - thats what is for sale @£170.

    Still for sale

  • Still for sale frame and forks £170

    or

Complete with whole Athena 8 speed groupset, hubs, seatpost, headset etc, £500
Choice of seats - Womens Bioflex sprint or black Rolls San Marco.
Campagnolo pedals that take a Look cleat ( re badged Look pedals ?)

  • my current road bike is 54cm square with a short stem - would this fit someone with a 30" inside leg? I'm trying to justify buying it!

  • I am no bike fit expert, I have a 30 inch inside leg, and I regard it as just a size too small. Still rides fine. I am sure in a room of experts some will argue differently.
Really you have to find and expert or come and try it.

  • I'm also interested. What's the standover height measurement please? Thanks.

  • stand over is 745mm

  • Damn. A bit too big for me. Beautiful bike. If anyone has one in about 46cm I'd definitely be interested especially F&F only. I know it's a long shot. Thanks.

  • Is Ron still for sale?

  • SIt richard, sit.
