Has there actually been concrete proposals for how it will work in football, because honestly once you start putting cameras on the goal line to see if the ball has crossed the line or not, people will start pushing for video reviews for when some cheating prick takes a dive trying to get a penalty.

There are 2 systems being trialled. One which works with magnets in the ball (or some such trickery) and one with Hawkeye style cameras in the goal mouth. IIRC both give an instant feed to the ref - there is no wait and review - ie they buzz if the ball is fully over, but not otherwise.

Anyway - roll on the end of the season. It's been too depressing to think about.

I feel like a Liverpool supporter - maybe next season...
