Why so mean? I'm gonna go cry into my PBR now.
Quite honestly, I test-rode the wheel before I made a decision and for all the bad words that get thrown at them, they ride really nicely. It's all very smooth and it feels bombproof. A little harder to get going from stopped, but once it's rolling it definitely has a lot of momentum. It may be a phase and I may sell it on in a few months, who knows, but for now fuck the haters - I'm enjoying myself and that's what biking is all about, right? :)
PS - That's a top tube inner tube wrap, not a pad. And it serves a purpose, I swear!
I just don't like those frames and the rear wheel is something to be desired.
Thats just my personal opinion :D -

The last piece of the puzzle will be a red rear rim on black spokes/hub with black tire. Broke now though, so that will come when it comes!

Keep it all black, red will just kill it!
Take the brakes off aswell, for a true HHSB! -

And a £400 fine! Japan sucks. If it weren't for that, the rear brake would be long gone.

Take the brakes off for hipster photo, then put them back on so the fuzz don't fine you.

Is there room to remove a link from the chain to slam the rear wheel? The cut out is looking awful lonely.
also, black tyre?

Not previously - I'd have needed a half-link. Now that I've switched cranksets I'm gonna give it another try though - things seemed slightly slacker. Gonna be touch and go though...
There's not a heck of a lot of room in the dropouts anyway. Even as far in as they'll go, the tyre still isn't touching the cutout.
I'm really the only one who likes the red, huh? Sad.

Ignore me, your bike just have it how you like it!
Are the police really that strict in Japan now then? They stopping people as they are riding?

In Tokyo, yeah. I have a friend who got done recently. Given an on-the-spot fine.
In Kyoto maybe not so much, but you often see (clueless) traffic cops on street corners checking bikes for lights, etc when they stop at crossings. Only takes one to know the actual law. Not worth the risk to me - the fine is a third of what I get paid each month! It was bad enough for them to give up on KyotoLoco, so...

But why you post it straight into the hhsb thread and not first in cp?
Cause in my opinion that's far from slave. I mean that the red ruins it. Brakes don't bother me, safety first eh.
But that rear tire has to be changed to a black one. also black spokes and then it's fine :) -

Thanks.
Stem needs fipping and possibly a set of risers, but overall I think it's a strong look.
