All the BB has to do is fit in your bike, offer the correct chainline and go round without failing. So choose your cranks, then find a decent quality BB that will combine with the cranks to give you the desired chainline.
On that note, it isn't always easy to find out in advance which BB size works best with a particular crankset to give proper track chainline (if that's what you're after). The Velodrome Shop is one useful resource that does list that information with their chainsets.
