Really tempted to get in on this. Anyone got experiences with re-sprays and how much they usually cost?

Nice frame! Deserving of a quality enamel respray. Mercian are about as good as it gets, plain stove enameled is £100 plus masking for the chrome. Powdercoating varies from say £40 to £80 but I'd say the frame is to good to powdercoat.

Be worth asking if the head tube badge is available with the frame. Be a shame not to have it and it could prove difficult and expensive to track one down.

what do you make of this? listed as a mtb frame - seller has no idea what they are selling - forks wrapped from shipping but (at least one) crank attached.

apparently it's an xl frame so 62.5 cm seattube.

it's badly listed and no reserve so possible bargain for any big guys

Not Ebay, but Apex Cycles on Clapham High Street has a 2011 Bianchi Pista in the window for £400 smackers. Pretty good value for OTP if you're into that sort of thing
