Lots of Americans put UK emblems and tat on their Minis because they like that they're driving a 'British' car. It's quite common for them to import a UK car, keep the OG plate on and just put the US plate over the top. It means they can go to shows, whip the US plate off and make their car look totally British.

Same as grime in the UK. For many kids it's an enterntaiment which helps them vent built up anguish, but for many (my stepson's inluded) it's about a gang warfare.
