(:
it's the jealousy talking... looks triple badass!
Is it a recent addition?
Had it about 18 months, but this too has made way for an IF.
ahh i think i remember the original sale thread, was it up with two corima's as well?
It was indeed. Good memory.

Hi all, I saw a custom painted Mash (I think it was a Mash) on this thread but I cannot find it again even after a long trawl! At was black with some indigo/navy detailing that looked to be hand painted on?
Could anyone link it to me if you know where it is? Thanks

This thread has a lot to answer for. I still want a stronger front wheel and my options are:
1 - Black front H+Son S42 (most likely)
2 - Matching set of shiny silver S42s (uhh...)
3 - Black front Arrospok (lazy artist's impression below) (please god, no)The crankset will be switched out for something all black, as will the tires, probably.

The silver rims could look good against the all black build, if you get the mirror finish ones like lolabelle...

There's a guy rocking them in my area, too. In fact I'll upload his bike when I'm not on my iPad - it'll fit right in here. Even has the long-extinct top tube pad!

An all black build will look good, when all black.
Tried the combination of all black with some silver parts contemplating.. Didn't work, 'cause you just wouldn't see it. So the last silver parts are being replaced.. (speaking of my whip..)
btw; Malasyan: That's not an all black build, rather silver/black.. Though the steerer should be made silver.

Yes I noticed, but I typed before I found the photo.
still think they would suit jadias bike, with black hubs & spokes perhaps.
All black stealth has been done.

Bars and bar ends are silver (not replacing the fuckers AGAIN) but mostly wrapped in black.
I'm very tempted to just build an all-black S42 front and replace the tire up there in black (I want something more puncture-resistant) and leave the rear as red hub/spokes, black rim and red-sidewall tire (until I wear it out).
I don't know if that small splash of red will just look really out of place then, though.
I don't REALLY want to do a totally stealth build because frankly there are too many of them (and I secretly like the red).

^^Don't say that. I'm just finishing up my stealth. Although my cranks are Stronglight 2000s so there is a bit of shiny on there.
Wheels are the last piece of the jigsaw. For now. Maybe. If I don't change anything else.

Another strong argument for silver is, no odd looking brake surfaces/wear on all black.

Red is not bad, when placed properly and rarely. But get rid of the chainring..
Silver rims might make a win if the rest is toned black.
Stealth mode is common because it's a safe game that seldom goes wrong.

Yup, looks even worse to have a black rim with an unused brake surface..

This is said local bike, and the one that turned me onto shiny silver rims in the first place. Old-skool salve!
There's a bike with a red Arrospok floating around uni, too - I'll get a pic of that when I next see it.

Yeah, replacing the crankset entails replacing everything. I want better cranks than the current Lascos and a rounder chainring as well. I'll be going with the all too common Sugino Messengers, because I currently have a 103mm BB and don't want to switch that out as well, and they seem solid enough. I don't mind the looks of the fat chainring either.

you can always replace the chainring, should you get bored with it:)
and velosolo make some good looking ones too. -

One of them. Should have another tomorrow.

Has it got a top tube pad !? Is it still furry? Saddle is a big improvement, rims need a polish though (:
