No point taking half measures:
i) Go fixed
ii) Remove brakes
iii) Cut down risers until there's just enough grip left to wrap your index fingers around
iv) Clips/straps/clipless are for nodders - use platforms, but cut them down to the width of your big toe
v) Wear massive headphones, but beef them up by wearing earplugs as well
vi) Never take your eyes off your phone whilst riding (the bars are just for show)
vii) Any chainring smaller than 50t, or any sprocket bigger than 15t is baby stuff
viii) Never ride in a straight line for more than 20m
ix) Never give way to anyone
x) Make sure your reach from saddle to bars is less than the width of your handspan. -

I will do the phone one, the never give way one and the never in a straight line for more than 20m one
The rest seem like too much hard work
Suppose there is always a chance i might still live

xi) Don't do anything that looks too much like hard work.I suppose adding xi) makes it all revert to half measures, but James has a point there.

It's not the first time I've tossed off (yes, tossed off) a quick list of 10 whatevers. The last time it was taken completely out of context and became an ephemeral internet meme.
- Don't toss off lists of 10 whatevers on the internet
- etc.

A couple of tools?
He'll need a left nut removing spanner, a right nut removing spanner, and the appropriate spanner holders.
.He's taking about making his bike fixed not having a vasectomy.
Best answer.
