  • i'll have a think, anyone local that can replace screens?
    presume that it's a 3g too?

Assuming the screen itself works but it just won't respond to touch, it's not the screen that needs replacing.
It comes in two pieces, and the part you'd need replaced is called the digitizer (it's the glass on top of the screen with the black surround)
I've replaced this part three times on a couple of different 3Gs and it's probably the easiest thing I've done in terms of iPhone repair, costs about £15 for the part and takes a couple of hours since you need to be careful not to break a cable.

  • does anyone have a SRAM rival lever (RH) 2009 10 speed. or does anyone have one with a snapped lever blade or anything, but housing still intact?

  • or also any force/apex levers. RH

  • I'm also after a shopper bike 20" wheels or folding bike. Looking at spending about £50 or less.

  • My brother is looking to sell an old strida, he got it for 100 though and he's looking to get most of that back, not sure if that is any use to you.

  • I'm after a 160mm disk rotor, managed to bend mine and I'm off to Afan on Monday so will need collect this weekend. Just thought I'd ask before splashing our for a brand new one.

Flea-bay is usually good for this kinda' thing.

  • Does anyone have a single (or a pair of) Weinmann drop lever(s) that they'd let me have for under a fiver?

I've just managed to ruin mine and I don't have another to replace it with, it'd be great if it had a similar attachment to the one shown in the picture below so that it could be a direct replacement without having to remove bar tape.

    Thanks!

  • How about these? You can have them for a fiver and they take the same attachment but you'll need to use the ones off your old levers as I don't think I've got them...

I'm on Mill Road if you want them you're welcome to come collect.

  • Those look great to me, when are you about for me to come collect? I'm only down Tenison Road so not far away at all!

  • Does anyone have a quill stem?

    ideally short and silver

Just searched on google images, they look so funky. Which model is it and how old is old?

  • Thanks for the Weinmann levers Rob, much appreciated!
Took them apart and gave them a good clean and they look great too, thanks again.

  • No worries dude.

    Elbow grease = win.

Yeah they really do. I'm not too sure about the model if i'm honest, I've had a quick look and I would assume it's a strida 1 or 2, but i'm not too sure. The rear wheel is punctured so it is out of use. I was planning to spruce it up a little at some point as it does have a bit of rust on the bars and the seat is quite worn, but that's just cosmetics really. See for yourself in the picture.

  • Anyone have a functional fixed back wheel they want to sell in Cambridge city?

  • Have one from an old off-the-peg Viking. 700C - you'd have to glue/locktight the sprocket on though - reckon the threads are pretty stripped. You can have it for £10 or £20 with a 18T sprocket and lockring?

Let me know - I'm about today...

  • Sounds reasonable if there is nothing else.I would want it with sprocket and ring. Where are you based?

Any other offers? I would prefer something more reliable and better quality.Or the best place to get a new one?

  • Thanks, broke a hub in two weeks on Cambridge's potholed streets.
