  • poots its always on, non forum people go to it.

    Awesome.

  • 2/3rds of the court is covered, rain wouldn't stop me going, but I've not been south on a Wednesday for weeks, so heading south... Unless it's raining, in which case I'll head north to wests. :)

  • I'll be there most probably - raining or not!

  • Seeing as I'm on holiday it seems like the best chance to make the trek west, see you guys tomorrow hopefully. What time do people get there from?

  • The court is open from 5 until 10, most people are there by six.

  • I'll be there around 7.

  • Gonna have to give this week a miss unfortunately - somehow got the lurgy over night.
See you next week though! Have fun kids.

  • should be there 7ish

  • In my limited polo playing experience, this is a good court! Mostly undercover, good size, all self contained, actual wee facilities rather than a bush. Awesome.

Had a fairly frustrating time when I actually got playing but thanks for a couple of helpful pointers from CowHen and punkture. If nothing else, I can get to the Westway fairly swiftly after work and at least practice some solo polo.

Nice one! All those involved in organising!

  • Glad you enjoyed it. Dont worry about getting frustrated - it'll come to you.

Any returning newbies there last night?

  • Not from the ladies session but there were a couple of people who had done a couple of sessions at Westway.

  • at least 4 first timers last night,
everyone is picking it up and improving really well

  • It really is a very nice court, and the sessions are great, they have (almost*) everything for ideal beginners sessions. It's great to see people coming down on a whim after seeing the flyers. Really good games from everyone, thanks to everyone involved.

  • best court in London young cowhen?

  • Needs more piss in the corner. And maybe even too smooth and bobble free?

  • pecknarm in the blood, blud.

  • it was good to hear some of the newer players beginning to talk about getting polo bikes and making mallets....

  • Well, if the sessions are up after the 12 weeks, and we cant get the court again, maybe we could just pass the loaner mallets on to them.

  • it was good to hear some of the newer players beginning to talk about getting polo bikes and making mallets....

I seem to be bidding on a Kona on eBay atm...oops!

  • Just a short info on the Saturday morning beginners polo sessions at London Fields park: We are trying to establish them properly. Times: 9.30ish to 11am - great way of morning exercises ;) , especially when the sun is out.
A loaner is available. Check the beginners' thread first to see if it's really on. Looking forward to seeing you there!

  • whos in tomorrow? Im not sure im gonna be able to be there this week cause too much work to do

  • I'll be there next week but not tonight, am working late.

  • You mean today? ;)

whos in tomorrow? Im not sure im gonna be able to be there this week cause too much work to do
