I really need to find a decent/cheap frame to start my first fixie! Sadly I'm in London.

Ellsworth 650c/700c track frame, apparently for polish track team?
Never knew Ellsworth (of 90s sexy mtb fame) even made a road let alone a track!
Quite unusual looking, but like it, pitty wrong size, kinda hoping that 700c + 23c would get up real tight to that seat tube.

actually they look pretty tight! Fork is pengy on that though, needs aero blades
Think the frame is ano too. I actually REALLY fancy one of those, one of the few frames that really appeal to me. -

See my post regarding this. And the scars.
Where?
I had a Comete when I was about 15.
I knew that it had been "bonded" and wasn't surprised that there was some creaking after I'd had it for a while. I didn't think anything of it when the mysterious creaking ceased whilst out on a ride one afternoon.
A couple of weeks later, whilst I was tail-gating a bus, the downtube decided to part company from the bottom bracket shell and the whole thing fell in half. It was at this point I was forced to use my knees as brakes. As I walked in through the front door at Wankworth Manor (my parents gaff) with blood pissing out of my knees, elbows and chin my mother was rather aghast at the fact that I was really pissed off because my bike was in two pieces.
So, whilst I would recommend owning one if you want to hang it on a wall, riding something that age would require a concrete sphincter.
There!

There!
tubes are known to snap aswell. if you're gonna risk your lefe with one I'd recommend at least getting a sexy one, like dynatech diablo. Bolts will of course fix the problem though.

Ha, great story. It deserves to be put in "draw your own collisions"
