Assuming the screen itself works but it just won't respond to touch, it's not the screen that needs replacing.
It comes in two pieces, and the part you'd need replaced is called the digitizer (it's the glass on top of the screen with the black surround)
I've replaced this part three times on a couple of different 3Gs and it's probably the easiest thing I've done in terms of iPhone repair, costs about £15 for the part and takes a couple of hours since you need to be careful not to break a cable.so as josh says it's a broken "touch screen" it's easy to replace then?
how hard are they to unlock too?
sorry for so many questions but this is new to me -

Does anyone have a single (or a pair of) Weinmann drop lever(s) that they'd let me have for under a fiver?
I've just managed to ruin mine and I don't have another to replace it with, it'd be great if it had a similar attachment to the one shown in the picture below so that it could be a direct replacement without having to remove bar tape.
Thanks!

How about these? You can have them for a fiver and they take the same attachment but you'll need to use the ones off your old levers as I don't think I've got them...
I'm on Mill Road if you want them you're welcome to come collect.

Just searched on google images, they look so funky. Which model is it and how old is old?

Thanks for the Weinmann levers Rob, much appreciated!
Took them apart and gave them a good clean and they look great too, thanks again. -

Yeah they really do. I'm not too sure about the model if i'm honest, I've had a quick look and I would assume it's a strida 1 or 2, but i'm not too sure. The rear wheel is punctured so it is out of use. I was planning to spruce it up a little at some point as it does have a bit of rust on the bars and the seat is quite worn, but that's just cosmetics really. See for yourself in the picture.

Anyone have a functional fixed back wheel they want to sell in Cambridge city?
-
• #972
Have one from an old off-the-peg Viking. 700C - you'd have to glue/locktight the sprocket on though - reckon the threads are pretty stripped. You can have it for £10 or £20 with a 18T sprocket and lockring?
Let me know - I'm about today...
-
• #973
Sounds reasonable if there is nothing else.I would want it with sprocket and ring. Where are you based?
Any other offers? I would prefer something more reliable and better quality.Or the best place to get a new one?

Thanks, broke a hub in two weeks on Cambridge's potholed streets.
