  • Don't know about that, I don't have that much money right now. Think I'll wait till a spinergy pops up on Marktplaats for <100 euros.

  • I have satin Blacked my BIG ss to match my satin Black dub, does this count as hiphop?

  • is that a langster?

  • We should go to a manufacturer and get a bulk discount, so many of us are willing and able, well a bit less able for me, but I want one bad

    hehe same here :P

I'm half serious, do you think there's a possibility?

I'm in. who do you think we should approach?

    what about the AliBaba stuff?

    would you trust it?

  • yeah specialized langster carbon fork

  • campag vento and i machined custom SS conversion on the rear.

  • All or nothing, get black rims...

@Apolloxl, Not really sure what to think about them, there's not pricing up front per piece, or at least I cant see any, are there any British manufacturers that any body knows of? They'd probably be more expensive mind

  • I have 10x19 Black X5 rims for the passat. Just waiting on my hub adapters. Fully murderd out.

  • Langsters can GTFO of this thread....

Fitzrovia bike got a couple of the carbon frames from China I think... I saw one in the window for sale at around £300 maybe.

They aslo have a sweet Aluminum Dolan that just needs an Aero seatpost.

They might be able to give you some good info.

  • What have the frames got to do with the purchasing of carbon trispoke wheels (or similar)

There's nothing wrong with a nice Langster, nothing, as long as they're not OTP

  • Apol has spoken

  • I'm bias, I has one…

  • This makes me sad.

I'd love a comotion, especially in that colour(s).

    ...
You can have any paint job you want. It will just cost you extra.
We mainly paint our frames with powder coating because it's tough. When you are riding your bike everyday, locking it up multiple times a day etc, powder coating last the longest. Also have you tried getting vinyls under a powder coat?
    ...
How would you suggest they go about that?
    I'd appreciate the input.

I think you should have very thin alu decals made up. Then glue them to the frame (ideally large ones wrapping around the downtube). Mask them off when spraying, then remove masking before putting in the oven.

They'd be permanent, more resilient than stuck on vinal ones - which would tie in nicely with the tough urban image of the frame, as well as the bespoke element of your brand. You could also have them anodised in different colours (provided the colour holds in the oven).

  • and again

  • The Cinelli Gash Returns....

What the hel is that thing on the other side of the pillar???

  • £700 for a Reynolds 853 fillet brazed custom sized frame is as good as you will ever get!

(Because the guy at the powder coater's and I don't have a cost effective solution yet. I have been working with them for 6+ years and my frame was the 1st bicycle frame that they ever painted)

If you like they can paint your bike at Lotus...

powder coat is tough but very hmmmm agricultural!! they is another way of having any colours you want from fine pearls/flips and mica's to the solid colours. also with decals under clear and hard wearing as powder!!

This would have a huge edge due to the film thickness of powdercoat.

    Why's that?

  • ^^ I'm not quite sure what you mean.

I'm guessing you're saying that they won't be flush with the rest of the paintwork(?). If that's it, then yes. The decal's would be raised. But that is kina the point.

They wouldn't look as cheap as vinal decals, they would be hard wearing, and it would suit the custom-look of the frame and brand.

    (all imo obvs)

Another option is 2PAC paint. Limited colour options, but apparently somewhere in-between.

^ and Langsters clearly do not belong here. They are a well priced, sensible all-rounder, that comes with some decent parts as standard. There is nothing slave about them.

  • not sure if the steel powder coating oven is set up at the same temperature as set up for alloy.

  • Can someone link me the geared eddy Merckx with red oury's and and trigger shifters.
I'm gonna make a similar one

where powder is quite thick it will probably leave the alloy decal's recessed with a colour edge around it!
2k colours will be limitless as its car colours
