A slightly disjointed first half with blocked roads, punctures et al, but a nice and cohesive second half. Sorry we had to lose Raymond at Alton, but it was a sterling effort to make it over so many hills on that ratio! And a shame to see Clubman take the rest of the ride solo - I think the second half would have suited your needs better.
Very happy that my back held out. Pain-cave became rape-shed on more than one of those hills.... and I hope the yo-yo of the group on said climbs wasn't too frustrating for the mountain goats.
Special mention to all those who did it with one gear, and the heroic deed of riding those descents fixed and brakless - That sort of feat would have destroyed most riders. Also mad props to hairnetic for blitzing most of us on the hills with what I was later to learn were flat pedals!... Mental.
All in all, nice company, sweet lanes, and some good laughs. Cheers.
An eventful day!
