Finally got Metal Gear Solid Collection yesterday - played through the first part of MGS already starting the Big Shell part later. The games title sequence and intro is still amazing 10 years on. It doesn't feel dated, and upscaled to HD it looks amazing.

Finally getting around to playing Mass Effect 2 ... yes really behind the time

Ha. I only finished it week-before-last. About to finish ME3 - what should I play next? I've never played any of the Fallout games where should I start if I wanted to?

Couldn't enjoy New Vegas really, not compared to Fallout 3. Absolutely loved Metro though, just never got round to completing it. The combination of storyline, great voice acting and immersing atmosphere.... It might as well have been the illegitimate lovechild of Half Life and S.T.A.L.K.E.R :)
(Obviously I loved both of them too)

Just started fable 3, went to the shop to get a copy of mass effect 2 so I can play them in order, but they only had 3s. Still, I quite liked the other fables.

is there any way i can download half-life or unreal onto the mac without torrenting?

Yesterday I was playing L.A. Noire quite happily (until it crashed, and as this was at 11:35pm and I had just finished a case I didn't really mind)
Today I can't run the fucking thing.
It stays on the neon sign screen with "synchronising" in the corner.
I've tried disabling the firewall, uninstalling the AV, running everything as admin, revalidating the local game files, starting directly from lanoire.exe. Nothing works.

I am now downloading a crack to see if I can bypass Rockstar's shitty and intrusive DRM.

Have to agree there. I don't know what it was about NV that didn't do it for me. Maybe because it felt like it was just trying to imitate 3, and it didn't do it any justice. I absolutely adore 3. Without a doubt my favourite game of all time. Sunk about 400 hours into that bad boy back in the day.

Bought Red Dead Redemption preowned from Blockbuster for a tenner. I really like it. So much so I have bought/downloaded Undead Nightmare (western with Zombies!!!) and all the add-ons expansions for a further £15 of the PSN.

Got GTA4 winging it's way to me too.

The PS3 is the best birthday present I think I've ever received.

Undead Nightmare was the only single player addon for RDR, right?
