For those not sure about riding fixed, I had not been on a bike since mid August until almost a month ago but been getting a few miles on my new ride and I don't wana miss out on this ride so I'm comming allong.
Riding fixed on a 48/17, no brake.....worst that will happen is a few days of pain afterwards but I'm excited about the ride.
I did loads of miles over the summer but never that far fixed.
Poots you should come allong, you wont do worst than me!
Re train tickets, when I get mine first class was a few quid cheaper than a regular ticket : ) and didnt cost that much!
Glat to hear the ride in on despite the weather.
Not that i'm doubting your skilz, but riding brakless down some of the descents on this route is best reserved for the brave and foolish...
Few conflicting weather reports out there, but be prepared for a possible shower or two and a bit of wind chill. The wind should be in our favour, which will make a big difference in certain sections.
