well i think i've finally killed my lovely chrome giles berthouds. clearance with 28c randos was rizla thin even with customised attachements. subsequent excessive "fettling" which devolved into grumpy bending and kicking caused dents and broken attachments has finally done for them.
don't think i can justify the expense and hassle of replacing them considering i'll run into the same issues again on my beater frame unless i go down to 25c. and even then it'd be touch and go.
so what's the nicest looking affordable alternative for a pretty but ultimately cheap and cheerful beater?
