That was such a fantastic weekend, thank you so much cambridge. Brilliant hosts an amazing club atmosphere, beautiful sunshine and sofas outside, nice cool games inside. Great food, thank you for the free tea coffee, hot X buns, sweets. So much effort had been put into the tournament and i loved every minute of it. Oil drum fire to finish off sat and sun night just put the icing on the cake. The bench format made the games interesting certainly against cambs, i think if we had gone for a 60 min final we might have overtaken them. To loose 12-11 felt fair though, your home court advantage must be worth at least a couple of goals. :) Props to canterbury for playing with a smile on their faces and feeling like they learned something new even if they got drubbed. Thanks Boagey for the room. Coach for the coaching and the john, jon, josh, dt, bill for the great games and brilliant support from the sidelines. Fantastic experience to play hard and fast on a challenging surface one of the best weekends of polo i can ever remember. xb

Thanks so much Cambridge, it was a great tourney. I like the format, it's very involving and it doesn't end so quick if you're not winning! I had real difficulty with the surface though it didn't seem to trouble you guys... Great final and I'm so stoked to be part of team Brighton! Podium shoes!

24-0
33-1How exciting! So bummed I missed the action.
Chukker, you weren't there, so please don't embarass London polo - it's bad enough that an entire bench minor team bailed at the last minute.
Really enjoyed the day, and although the format made a few boring games, it also allowed lots of time for new players to get on court in a competitive atmosphere.
Cheers guys, was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the bench minor format more than I thought I would,
Had a really great time this weekend, special thanks to Cambridge for putting yet another great event.
Thanks for having us cambridge had an awesome weekend even though we had our arses handed to us all weekend!
Format was great especially for the new guys on our team not having to worry about being 5 and out in 3 minutes.
Great weekend, thanks Cambridge for all the hard work (and well done for winning). Thanks Team London for a great experience.
^ says it all.
The final was as good a game of polo as I have seen, and the third place play-off was pretty awesome also. Brighton's semi against Cambridge A was a masterpiece of polo against the odds.

On reflection, given the amount of time-wasting by Cambridge A when London started coming back at them, a better solution would have been to stop the clock for restarts.

Luca I think we would have lost over an hour , in the last minutes we struggled to contain their attacks.
Thanks to everyone who made the journey to Cambridge. There is a greater unity in UK bike polo than ever before, let's keep that spirit and build on it . -

Awesome weekend ! Thanks to cambs for being amazing hosts ( as always )
I still love playing on that court .
Oil drum fires....." bang on trend ! "
Was a shame not to play London & I hope Josh got home ok ?
Rob, Brighton know nothing of this "banner" you talk of ! :-)
See you guys soon x -

Great weekend, thanks to all that contributed. All games were enjoyable to watch/play in regardless of score, certainly some of the toughest, fastest games I have played in. Final was epic, wearing face cages while goal reffing was a must, someone needs to check those milk heads.
Highlights were our semi against Camb A and third place play off with Camb B. Canterbury were great opponents and great fun to play against, I can see them coming up the ranks really soon.
A shame we didnt get to play London but very, very happy with 3rd. Thanks to all the Brighton crew: Jamie, Josie, Josh, Chris, Tim and Dice for making it great fun as always. YOU'RE TOO HIGH!

Thanks Cambridge for a really great weekend, awesome games and good times!
Really enjoyed seeing everyone, and also watching some really exciting close games.
I was going to write down the games and players who I enjoyed watching most, but actually there is too many to mention so never mind. Safe to say that it was awesome to see all the scenes stepping it up big time.
Most fun I've had in ages, thanks again!

thanks to everyone who came, like most people have said, it was great to see such quality coming through different parts of uk bike polo. there were some really great games to watch, i noticed this weekend how much peoples overall game has developed, passing and shooting getting quicker and more accurate and defending plays keeping even the best attacking players at bay. made for a really great weekend of not only playing but watching too. hope to have more bench minor format tourneys in the future, made a great change and really brought the regions together, also made me see some new teams within scenes, thought brighton tim, chris and jamie played really well together, you guys were tricky to play against.
thanks London for a really fun final, enjoyed watching as much a playing.
thanks to all the cambridge players, everyone really pulled together and played real tight.special thanks to Hayden, Rv and angelo for really doing all the ground work at the warehouse, without you guys this weekend would not have been a special, everyone really appreciated all the little extra touches you guys did to make this weekend the best it could be.

Yeah, really good weekend Cambridge.
Always great to get out of Birmingham and play with other regions, and the standard all round was great!

Trolleypolo video ahoy.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/welshpug/7040027903/Not sure how to embed the video though. Excuse the awful quality, I don't buy phones for camera quality. Jono should have some interesting ones but he probably doesn't remember taking them.
