  • If you are into the whole disc brake thing, its best to do it on another bike. For a start the brake is totally overkill, but could maybe have some use on a bike with fatter tyres that you ride through winter and offroad.

    The KHS is a track bike, one that looks pretty great for an OTP thanks to the nice forks. The geometry of a track bike puts your centre of gravity way up front, your mass is also quite high up. Unlike a MTB where you are back and lower. This means, like jake said. You will easily go flying over the bars with a strong brake. You will need to change the forks and get a custom built front wheel to get a disc setup.

    Also, dont forget that one of the joys of riding fixed is the ability to regulate speed and braking using the legs. Once you get used to it, you will find you almost never use a front brake. Let alone require a strong one.
