i'd prefer double sided since I haven't tried spd before

I have some spare cleats but no pedals.

    How much for the cleats?

  • That's fine mate but these ones are easy to roll over to clip into, unlike the single-sided road pedals I used to have that refused to point up - the other side is a proper unclipless (?) flat, though both sides can be ridden in normal shoes. Let me know if you change your mind.

  • Double sided are great, right up to the point you want to ride to the pub without looking like a hipster. I'd also say there an easier introduction to the world of clipping in. You can just start with one foot or unclip early when coming up to lights.

  • They are multi release, just used for a few weeks until I got the hang of it for polo. £7 is just under half price, sound fair?

  • so i'm putting together a fixie, i think i have the frameset, but need everything else, so if anyone around manchester center has spare bits they want to sell nows the time to tell!

  • I have the bars and stem that come on a fuji track, yours for £12

  • ^^ I have saddles, details a few posts back. Fiver each. You'll probably only need one though.

  • Was looking for a riser/bullhorn sorry snotty, cheers rhb i may pm you

  • No worries. 100mm silver stem 26 clamp?

  • Was looking for a riser/bullhorn sorry snotty, cheers rhb i may pm you

Think I've got some chopped risers and probably a stem or two to fit. Putting together a list/photos at the weekend.

  • I've got a SRAM track crankset with an external bb, and I think a 48t ring. I got it new last year but never used it. I'll see how much it's worth and tell you, if you're interested.

  • Cheers guys, once i have a 100% on a frame ill deffo be interested in these parts

  • Dont forget you still would need fork, headset and so on, it may be cheap but its just a frame. 1" forks for that size frame dont grow on trees, neither do 1" Aheadsets, threaded ones seem to though. Paul is a lovley chap, with a great attic, where he keeps vulnerable visitors collecting ebay items until they buy more. Worth an ask if he has anything else you can use while youre at it.

It's also 130mm rear spacing, track hub standard is 120mm, so you'd either need to add spacers to the axle or bend the frame.

  • ^^^ This +1

If you want a fixie buy a track frame. There are enough second hand Langsters, Plugs, Bowery's etc out there second hand that prices have dropped. Hell they were doing complete new Plugs for £330 in the sales last year. You can pick up a nice new Dolan frame for £110 inc postage:

  • just buy a create.

Saw that too, cheers for all the advice guys, also ^ personally think the creates look like childrens bikes but hey

  • jokes n tings innit.

I really disagree with anyone who suggests bending or cold-setting frames to fit wheels. How hard can it be to find a 130mm qr axle and swap the cones onto it with an extra 2x 5mm spacers?

  • So many nice road frames lost in the name of hipsterdom and cold setting :-(

Thought thats what you were after.
