I attended a meeting recently and met Mustafa Arif, who gave us an overview of what this ride means, and i can say it gets my full support.

And can I give people a tip in the direction of Londoners on Bikes, who are trying to make cycling provision a political issue, They want 10000 names on their list by May the 3rd for the Mayoral election.

@nic - have you seen the LCC petition? It's for better / safer streets for cycling and everyone's use, its also going to be presented to the Mayoral candidates. Perhaps we have strength in numbers.

I'm going to be at this. I think all the big protest rides that have happened this year - Blackfriars Bridge, the Tour du Danger, the pedal on parliament back in February - all of them have been building up to this. To have tens of thousands of kids, families, grans out on their bikes calling for safer streets just 3 days before the Mayoral election is going to huge. I'm in with sticks. See you there!

There's going to be a prize for best dressed person/bike, and it's a Brompton. Details to be announced on LCC's website soon. The official colours of the ride are red and white by the way - LCC want to create a sea of red and white.

LCC are currently looking for Film Extras for our viral video production for 10 April.
We’re also in need of marshals, stewards and social media volunteers for The Big Ride on 28th April.
