and take his stupid shop with him, the cunt.
Done. :-)

Don't understand how a business providing high end product in one of the only growing markets can go.
I also don't understand.
I half assume rent rises, a loss of interest by the owner, and perhaps new opportunity.
He had one very lucrative part of a fast growing market sewn up.
Makes you wonder if he's open to selling, or whether there were real problems with the business.

I thought they expanded the shop recently?

I was just in there and heard two staff speaking to another customer; they said it was making more than enough money. He's closing it for personal reasons.
Pity for the staff.
On the plus side; bargains to had! -

Anyone been in?
Very interested in an Airnimal for half price- but I imagine these would be amongst the last things to be discounted?
-
• #332
Cheap swrves?
-
• #333
At the moment, it's 15 to 30% off selected accessories. More aggressive discounts are presumably yet to come.
-
• #334
Thank you Agent Bruce
-
• #335
Not exactly a flippin fire sale is it. I want a Workcycle for peanuts!

And now they are here:
Most bikes have a 20% discount.
The 25% cross-the-board discount on Brooks products is nice, although take a smartphone to compare with the prices in other retailers - some Velorution prices are standard, others are premium.

Are the Airnimals discounted?
-
• #338
Didn't ask, sorry. Ring them; they're not being shy about it.
-
• #339
Mental I missed this episode!!! I can't believe "sorry" over 12 months down the line is enough for some of you. Exactly what he is sorry for? I certainly hope it's not for his view point alone- he's entitled to one as is everyone. I hate to think he felt forced by external pressures as opposed to some internal moment of clarity and shift in view point, which, you'd think would have been published with glee...unless his 'personals' are that his daughter brought back a Leeroy?
Anyway the important stuff: I'm out of magnolia paint so can someone get down there on my behalf to see what's happening with the airnimals?

I see Nhatt lurking. The Survivors group is in session.
-
• #341
Closing Down, big sale on until May 5th.
-

They had a good selection of Nitto handlebars in their last week. If you're considering dutch style bars there were a few to choose from, all good bargains.
-
• #343
Just popped in - Not a lot left now and no real bargains remain*. I don't recommend going out of your way, but if you happen to be in the area there is no harm in seeing whats left.
*eg. Inner tubes still seemed cheaper online.
-
• #344
I got a few drivetrain bits and a pair of brake levers at 'better than online' prices this morning - stocks definitely dwindling though.
Cassettes 50% off
-
• #345
Indeed there is not a whole lot left but I am going to buy one of their wooden starter bike thingy's for my kid.
-
• #346
Is this place still dodgy? Thought it shut ages ago but seems to be alive and kicking and the cheapest place to get a pelago rack...
-
• #347
SBC cycles stock Pelago and can order in for you if they don't have something. I strongly recommend them. Really sound lads
-
• #348
Ah cheers I might do that then, I know owner of this place used to be questionable but not sure if thats's still the case...
-
• #349
The shop changed hands years ago. Weird racist guy doesn't own it any more.
-
• #350
Good to know cheers, I wouldn’t want to be buying bike bits off a secret tricorn/treacle freak
You need to read this whole thread. It's quite illuminating.
Good staff. Owner from an entirely different planet.
