Hi Lileth. Just spotted this thread. I'm assuming you mean the mixte bicycle, not the awful moped? If it's the former, I built a Raleigh Candice for my wife (same frame as the Wisp) and It's a beauty of a frame. The stock, steel-rimmed wheels are a bit gash but I find the frame to be relatively light, stiff and responsive and, in my opinion, can make the basis of a very sweet classic ride. Would build another for sure ;)

Thanks ;)
Try the Wisp out, you'll probably really like it. My wife prefers hers to the 'orrible barge that was the Pashley Princess she had before. Which brings us to the second issue. How much are the shop asking for it? -

My gf had her beater Whisp stolen within 3 days of moving down here. Bastards. For what it's worth, it did ride nicely, she rode it daily and it embarrased plenty of Glasgow commutengers. It'll go quite fast too.

That is VERY lame! But glad to hear the good comments about it

Sounds reasonable for a fully restored (and, I assume, serviced) Wisp. Do it, you know you want to ;)

Lileth.
I know it's not a Wisp but I have a Claude Butler Majestique which you can have for nothing. All you have to do is collect it or arrange for someone to collect it for you.
I live south of Dorking on the A24.
The bike is all original ie. unrestored. The finish is quite good and everthing works. It just wants a good home.Neil.

Bike went, but owner of the shop says there's more bikes coming in soon of my size. Fingers Crossed.
