  • hangover got the better of me, to my eternal shame. will do better next week I promise. bet it was aces out there :(

  • Feeling peaky/pukey. Out : (

  • Track is....AMAZING! I'm in love!!! Such a great day, thanks ladies!

  • such a blast yesterday! thank you for such a great introduction to track! any initial fear has now gone :) :) :) . now to work on getting fitter and fitter and pushing and pushing.

lovely to meet those who were there.

    see you all again trackside!

  • Myself and LittleHeather popped by yesterday afternoon during the session, and you all looked like you were having great fun. One thing we noticed is that it was very chatty! Every time the main group went past, you could hear little snippets of conversation: "...definitely getting a track bike..." "...and the new job starts on..." etc

We both want to give it a go, but have to get over the fear of fixed, and falling off onto tarmac.

  • Well done ladies, it was an really lovely session.

We are going keep the first part of the session the same each week so you can see how you are improving over the weeks.

I have just created a page for Velo Jam in the track section of the forum. Now I am thinking it may be better suited in the ladies part. Is anyone able to move it for me?

  • Can't make this sunday either as it's the London Classic - don't think I'll be able to manage track after 40 miles around London and the South London Alps....will have to re-double my efforts from the 8th. Bah!

  • I'd love to come along to this sometime.

I went to a beginners' track session at HH about a year ago, found it a little terrifying, but after a while enjoyable. Being a short arse, I was on one of the diddy Fuji kids' bikes with 650c wheels and did struggle to keep up a bit! (I'm not blaming that on the wheels though! ;) )

  • ps: see you at the Classic, poots! X

  • Is it on today? 4.30?

  • 4-6. ride down about 1430ish?

  • 4-6. ride down about 1430ish?

on the herne hill website it says 4:30... are you sure it's 4-6?

  • I think it's 4:30 start time, 4:00 for getting a bike/paying/milling/etc.

  • Tanya and I intend to come but I have just sprouted the most massive headache. I hope riding there will get rid of it.

  • We went, we rode, it was awesome!
