There was never any actual discussion about this, it was a decision made by moderators. I think we should allow access to all LPC members for life.

If I can briefly interrupt, there was a big discussion about this 2 years ago, which came to the conclusion it should only be for players currently playing in London, mainly for the reason that we vote on things like the league in there, and discuss topics relevant to current London players (such as the league format, tournament organisation etc).

I don't care which way it goes, but it's worth bearing that discussion in mind, and the implication of changing that.

An alternative, which keeps everyone happy might be two subforums:

LPC (for anyone who plays or has played in London, or is in general part of the community)
Voting (only for current players, solely for administrative stuff that only applies to current players).

It might have the added benefit of moving some of the more public bullshit out of the view of the public/potential new players/councils/sponsors etc.
