I now know that it is just utterly pointless trying to warn your fellow two-wheelers.
They want to know even less than drivers want to know that road tax doesn't exist.

It's natural for someone's initial response to go on the defensive. They think they are under attack, they tell them to fuck off.
Thing is, they made them think more about it. They'll remember that, more than just the bar clipping. If they are pissed off, it'll stick in their mind and bother them. They'll remember that next time they find themselves facing a potentially similar situation. They might even not do it again.
Don't tell me you've never had anyone have a go at you for something, especially a stranger, and initially thought they were a twat and even told them so, then later grudgingly realising they were right?
