That is my point though. You had a mountain bike, with a disc. Fixed definitely doesn't need a disc. If anything a discs efficiency would actually be a bad thing. If you are fixed and hypothetically had a front disc brake and came to an emergency stop you would fly, ironically, off of your flite and straight over the handle bars.
The fact that you'd need to buy a completely new fork. Which would look shit as there aren't many forks that look as nice as the stock on a flite. If you were to do it though, hydraulic would be total overkill and a waste of your money. I think it's a waste as it is, but it isn't my bike ;-)
Halo Aerotracks are pretty much the best coloured, cheapish wheel you can get. Solid as fuck. If you hunt you can get a pair for about £150. If you go somewhere like tokyo fixed they'll be just under £180. For the pair.
