Sorry this is a slightly clearer picture minus the bearings although these will be included as part of the deal .

No need mate. Italian/ISO/English use the same threads - 24tpi. Same cup and crown size too. It will work fine. I have several Italian thread headsets on English frames.

Thats what I thought but bought a Super Record headset with what I was told had an Italian thread but it does not fit my English fork . The best I can get is about 1/2 turn before it locks up and I'm not going to force it . I will double check both the fork and headset .

Definitely don't force it but make sure all threads are scrupulously clean before trying again. A good sized bit of grit in one of the threads can easily stop it from turning any further. If your forks are English and the headset Italian, if neither are damaged there's no reason for it not to work. What frame are you putting it on?

Thank you for your input and have now got it sorted . Threads were cleaned on both fork and headset . A light drop of oil onto the fork before hand tightening the headset nut onto the fork - no spanner needed . Had a tiny amount of aluminium swarf but put this down to differences in thread pitch .

Purchased in error but looking for the same in English threading so would prefer a direct swap .Slight spanner marking which I have tried to show in photo . I am based in Dorset and happy to come to an arrangement regarding postage with any deal .
