  • I was thinking, if I'm buying low end branded components (like let's say Shimano RS10 wheels or a well used Shimano 105 group set or the whole tired Veloce) I can as well go for no names mix & match and save money.
    Then, when I have have some spare cash and something interesting pops out on eBay (like that SRAM Red crankset today) I'll just add it to the mix. As I don't race I don't need cargo tubular wheelset. If I decide to get anything more bling, I can always use existing wheels as bad weather set or for general fun rides.

    So far I've spent £275 on a frame and those CX-1 forks, £220 on Omega Mach1 wheels on 10 spd Shimano compatible Quandos, Cane Creek headset, Colnago seat clamp, Microshift 10 spd derailleurs and shifters and carbon spacers.
