OOF the cinelli is rather special. Anyone know what rims? Just noticed flat tyre fail...
-
• #61437
The bike's mine and I can let you know that the rims are Ambrosio Aerodynamic Durex. About the flat tire I'm waiting for some NOS air to match the rest of the bike;). Really, the pic might be from my Tumblr and it was taken when I picked up the ride and the lack of air in a 30 year old tyre should be expected.

Why would you want micro bmx gearing on your track bike?
because your buying it because its cool? not because its a track bike

Why would you dredge up an argument that was about 5 pages ago?

i can understand that building sheriffs with Hoshi 'Aero' is like a chair with paper legs
but i like the light effect...Needs less spokes.
-
• #61446
needs fewer spokes.

cool
Radial spokes on a sheriff hub is (according to Campagnolo) a bad idea,
plus with so many spokes it does'nt look any good IMO. -
• #61448
^ With a brake maybe , but without a front brake radial spokes cannot be a problem.
-
• #61449
Campagnolo explicitly states "no radial lacing" for sheriff track hubs, and I think even for their current track hubs.

without a front brake radial spokes cannot be a problem.
Yes they can, the stresses on the flange are distributed differently with radial spokes, that's why some manufacturers advise against it while others (e.g. DT) make specific radial versions of their hubs.
why? have you tried?
