Saw a woman on CS7 on a Cinelli ss in a marvellous shade of purple. Funnily enough, though I turned off to go round by the IWM, I saw her again as I was waiting to cross Borough High St.
Also a chap on an On-One Al track bike with a deep downtube.
The guy with the Quickerbybike shorts on his Pomp at Balham. Used to see him every day, but only once in the last six months.
And just generally bloody loads of cyclists of all types on the road. Champion.

No spots of any great notoriety this morning, apart from a rather attractive Lady on a geared Specialized - travelling at a great rate indeed Lady. Tavistock Place about 8.30 am

Kept seeing the same guy all the way from Clapton to Westbourne Park this morning - red track frame, pursuit bars, CXP33 on Phils, nice bike. Dashing hair & 'tache. Tweed jacket. Got to be on here, right? Not so, apparently...

Double spot of a tall chap in a forum cap on a blue bike accompanied by a chap with a purple front spok - headed north through London fields towards Hackney central last night... A fair amount of RLJ involved, tut tut.

Guy on a nice yellow coppi on lower Richmond road and a girl all lycrad up in what looked like 'proper' team livery on a nice royal blue bianchi (I really struggle saying those words) absolutely caning it through Twickenham. And I mean caning it! impressive burst of speed to leave all the niodders in her wake.
Other than that, hundreds of nodders careening left and right down the south circular

After a period of it dying down, I begin to loathe the term, 'Noddergeddon' as it smacks of superiority etc, and then the sun comes out...
It's not so much the riding, I'm happy for everyone to ride at their own pace, wear what they want, ride whatever bike they want, I'm truly happy to see so many cyclists. What I don't understand is why is everyone so rude and unwilling to share space? Cyclists crowding each other, blocking the pedestrian crossing, shouting at each other. Lots of disappointment this morning.

It's a second (or third, maybe fourth) coming of Noddergeddon. I have the shortest commute on earth and I daily see people that couldn't be trusted with a knife and fork performing that sainted act of the RLJ and thinking they're clever. If it's a bloke I tend to shout "PRICK!", whereas if it's a girl I usually run with an impressively audible "RED!"
When I pulled up at Hyde Park Corner a few weeks ago, this bloke asked me why I'd called him a prick. Next to us was a cab driver (a burly knuckle-dragging type) who rather calmly said that he had because he'd only just missed him with his cab.
We then had 90 seconds of discussion as this chap proceeded to jump the lights because there was a gap in buses coming up from Victoria. The cabbie explained to me (in between saying he'd never vote for this lot again/send 'em all home/support our boys in conflict etc) that most cabbies have no problems with cyclists, just bad cyclists. He explained quite clearly that we're both people trying to get from one point to the next. He did comment that cyclists jumping red lights did infuriate him, but not every time they did it. He pointed out that there with nearly all traffic signals there is a "gap" between cars stopping and other traffic moving. Going through the signal at this point he had no issue with, but going through them when the traffic is already moving was, in his opinion, "really fuckin' stupid..."
The light changed to red/amber and off we went.
He's the only civil one I've ever spoken to regarding this.

That's my goth mate Steff. She's only just got a Plug, was on a shopper before, and she's still getting used to riding a track-type thing. Did she look mega wobbly?

Good news. I imagine her obvious sociopathy helps with confidence levels on the road.
