can you compress your headset it using threaded rod or something, remove it and then run it with no topcap?

The cheapest one I could find where SJS Here the price seems well high though.

It's 2/3rds the price of a Hope HeadDoctor so I don't see it as that bad, especially when a starnut and top cap cost around £3 for a hell of a lot less engineering.
