• For sale, a small 48cm Gitane Match 700 Sport 2x7speed Road Bike in Gitane/Tour de France colours with SPD pedals & shoes.

    It is a small bike which would suit people between 5'1 - 5'4 (155cm to 162cm).

    Some of you might have seen it in the Current Project thread here:
    http://www.lfgss.com/thread82077.html
    I cleaned and serviced it on Saturday and it is good to go!

    The spec is as follows:

    • Seat tube is 48cm CC, top tube is 50cm CC - Columbus tubing TIG weld and chrome forks;
    • Shimano RS100 double crankset (FC-A550) 170mm with 46T outer and 42T inner;
    • Shimano RSX 7 speed rear mech;
    • Shimano RX100 front mech;
    • Shimano RSX STI levers (only used for braking - gears are on the downtube);
    • Shimano STX headset;
    • Saccon brakeset (not seen one before but very nice stuff);
    • Aero seatpost;
    • ITM 40cm bars;
    • ITM 90mm stem (now with plastic cover as I found it);
    • New downtube shifters Shimano Z408 friction levers with fresh cables;
    • New inner/ yellow outer cables - stretched and adjusted;
    • Recent wheelset - Sachs hubs on yellow Rigida rims 700c 10sp one with a 7 speed cassette 14-25 + spacers;
    • Fitted brand** new** colour coded Vittoria Zaffiro tyres (700x23);
    • New computer battery and refitted along the new cabling;
    • New yellow bar tape;
    • Fizik Pave saddle;
    • New bell;
    • Look Arc auto pedals;
    • Diadora TRIVEX II cycling shoes Size 39 (snug 39 so 38/39)+ Carnac overshoes - good clean condition with good Delta cleats to use on the Arc pedals
      The frame is in good nick, the stickers on it aren't that good but I thought I would keep them on but they are easily removable.

    The aero seatpost is currently stuck and I've not tried to force it out - I figured out that whoever tries it will be the right size - I'm happy to provide more measurements.

    The gearing is quite small (46T-14T max), making it ideal for somewhere hilly or for someone liking smaller gearing. I'm happy enough to change it for you.

    Price wise, I think that £SOLD -> £SOLD is a good price for it since it's all cleaned, serviced and comes with SPD shoes & pedals.

    The bike is in central London (Chancery Lane) so please come and see it and ride it home!

    Let me know if you have any questions.

    Cheers

    Vince
