For Sale: Specialized Allez Expert 58cm, Ultegra groupset, Ksyrium Equipes

For sale, either as a complete bike or split, depending on whether anyone is interested.

Allez Expert 2006, a pretty big 58cm so suitable for someone around 6ft2, full carbon forks, carbon rear end and made out of Columbus Aerotec E5 tubing which is a better grade of aluminium than the new allez. With carbon seatpost, specialized bars and stem, Specialized bodyfit saddle. £220.

Mavic Ksyrium Equipe wheelset, hardly any wear to the braking surface and bearings perfect. £130.

Ultegra 6600 groupset, 53/39, 12/25, cap missing from LH lever. £200.

Complete £500 if you have tyres, with new Deda bar tape and I'll fit new brake inner and outer. Have a set of Vittoria Open Pave EVO CG 320 TPI tyres with only 300kms on them for an extra £50.

Bike has done around 2000 miles, in great shape with just a few chips and scratches to the paint from transport, never crashed, chain still has life in it, wheels true. Selling as it just doesn't get used any more.

Not snarky but as a novice to road bikes, can you rundown the differences between this and, say, one of the 2012 Allez you can buy new for £500?

the groupset is a huge difference to the one you would get on a new allez.

so is the frame....

and the wheels...

i'm not sure they do the 'expert' in the uk, but if new it'd add up to a £1,500 plus package

but it's 6 years old, hence this pretty reasonable menu of prices

£200 quid on group is tempting. Fancy making old steel have STI's as friction auto shifting on hills is doing my fucking nut in (literally)

jordan - its a virtual 58 so the seat tube is actually around 55, effective top tube is 575, head tube 190.

Yes originally it was around £1400, its a good quality alloy and with all the carbon bits and 10spd ultegra, plus basic ksyriums its a fair price at £500 considering its had a really easy life.
