I think the issue lies in the fact that I mostly ride the Steamroller without sufficient padding whereas the road bike never gets used without decent padded shorts. Before I swap them back I'll try the saddle with padding but I think I prefer to keep my clothing options open on the Steamroller.

I'm in the same boat. I want a saddle I can ride both with and without padding. For significant distances. So far the Charge Spoon has served me well. But my commute has gone up significantly. Also since I switched to drops, being more forward all the time I'm finding the Spoon a little uncomfortable. I have been watching this thread again over the last couple of days. So I checked out the Flite, the thing that worries me is that being a little big I won't like it.

Just had a quick look at the SLR too now. Again its the same thing. I think I will try out a Rolls again this weekend. Which is probably what I will go for unless someone has another suggestion.
