  • BMC design, actually. Rover had nothing to do with it - they were a totally separate company from BMC/British Leyland until about 1968 or so, about fifteen years after the Mini was designed. The same guy (Issigonis) designed the Morris Minor, too.

    Interesting, Alex Moulton designed the suspension for the original Mini - using little rubber cones, just like his bicycles.

    Some of my tutors worked on the BMW Mini... and I have no respect for them, shit shit shit car that it is. Don't get me started on the DS3...

    We weren't discussing the classic Mini of which there have been many revisions, Mk1 - Mk6. I'm not a concourse winner at a classic Mini show for nothing. I don't need a lesson, thanks. My MK1 referred to the MK1 New Mini.
