jaw, I did think about Valencia as a likely landing spot for AVB, but all the points you mention are valid, maybe he goes to the project at Malaga, lots of oil money, investing in youth, smaller club who can only go up.
Hard to find good landing options in Spain, what with the disparity in monies between everyone else and Barca and Real Madrid, maybe a smaller league, french or german, marseille could be looking for a new manager soon, and lyon are in a bit of a doldrum, but still with enough quality to qualify for the champions league, so could revitalise them..
Marseille is awkward, because of the ownership issues, and the inordinate power that the fans have over the club. Lyon are probably the best run club in France, and the owner has a much longer term view than most, but I don't think that they're in the market for a new manager.
