As a committed supporter of the NS concept, I have a couple of questions re. the 2012 Statement -
With the stated priority being grass roots development for events across the UK (undoubtedly achieved in 2011), why would potential organisers/cities opt to run an NS event as opposed to their own 'invitational' (or other format)?
With the relative relaxation of the qualification requirement (3 from 6) and the non-indexing of the ranking to other polo tournaments, it rather comes across that the NS Championship is less desirable/less meaningful than other events. The clearest reason I can see within the statement is that the various tournaments may have differing or lower than optimum 'standard' surfaces. Is my interpretation fair?
