A clincher 4-spoke without any chips went for £200 on Thursday.

^and your point is?

It's quite obvious what his point is: he is suggesting that the £270 asking price for this wheel is too high in regard to the general selling price of such items on this board.

is it?
In my opinion thats the price these wheels normally go for, and because somebody for whatever reason made a quick sale doesn't necessarily mean all corimas should go for that from now on. -

Hmmm... well as the buyer of 2 corimas in the last 2 weeks, I'll comment that I paid £275 posted for the first one, a front tubular, in immaculate, perfect condition. Without a tub.
And £208 posted for the 2nd, a rear clincher with a front conversion (including rear hub + decent tyre/tube)
The clincher was a bit of a bargain, and i am now advertising the front tub for the original £275.
I would say that £270 isn't unreasonable for this, shame about the chip but it doesn't look too serious?

Also, these wheels are about a 9.99 on the Megan Fox scale.... cannot believe how good they look, and how smooth the hub...

^ thought you are going for 8spok?

Thanks for all your comments.
If you're interested (any of you!), please let me know! NB I do need to keep the sprocket.
I am open to (sensible) offers.
Thanks.

The chip doesn't look critical, but it may be worth getting someone to have a look, then you can at least tell the buyer how much it may cost..
I think January skintness is flowing over into February, I can't even sell a Shamal for 80 quid...

Just got the wheel back from HQ Fibre Products. They said that the carbon is aboslutely fine and it's just the paint that has chipped off.
-
• #14
Here are pictures of the other blemishes where you can see the carbon - I've tried to show the size - they really are very small and just need a tiny bit of paint over. In the picture with the red sofa in it, the mark is so small I couldn't get it to show up, but it is the lighter coloured dot.
The two pictures of the rim/tub are to show that there is no braking surface and that it hasn't been used with a brake. Not sure why anyone would, seeing as it's a rear track wheel!
Hope this helps.
