  • You have to anticipate someone pulling out, but you can't give such a wide berth that it's literally impossible for someone to pull out and hit you.

    I anticipated it and left enough room to avoid him but it put me in a dodgy spot. Also had the brake covered, as always, ready to slow if i had to. He should have looked, I should have dropped a bit of speed to give myself more time to avoid him, but really he was a donut and should be repeatedly struck with an uninflated and wet inner tube for his heinous sins.

    In terms of the 93G that I pulled during my controlled stop, there was perhaps some exaggeration, fuelled by an enormous americano i consumed before posting on it. I was doing somewhere about 45kph coming up to him, and I reckon he pulled out about 4m in front of me, and I overtook him in the adjacent lane, so was probably doing about 25-30 kph by that point. I was on quite a spinny gear which added to the drama, according to the rpm calculators prob doing about 130rpm ish when he pulled out.
