got an extremely nice Mercian Professional road frame for sale
frame was built in 1980 (frame number: 11080)
56.5.cm seat-tube (c-c)
58cm seat-tube (c-t)
57cm top-tube (c-c)
It's got the really prominent lug grouping around the bottom bracket which is the basis of the Professional model. Also comes with lovely wrap-over seat stays, and down-tube adjusters to take modern ergo/STI levers. Rear spacing is 126mm but I ran it with a 130mm 10 speed Campag hub with no problems at all. Takes a 27.2 seatpost, modern allen-key brake calipers and a 28.6 band-on front mech. The frame's in really good nick, no dents or crash damage at all. Paint is tatty in places but still very much usable and I think it would be a crying shame to get this resprayed when the current paint job is so full of win. Headset is included, not quite buttery smooth but works well enough when built up. Bottom bracket not included.
