  • First of all this build is certainly not going to be to everyone's taste and I know there will be some haters.

I bought the frame around August 2011 from Rodolfo off the forum who was a great seller and shipped the frame over from the Netherlands. At the time I didn't have the money to get the build how I wanted but NEEDED something to ride so started to put bits together and gradually improved it to how I wanted it. I had some parts from a previous beater bike and managed to source a few cheeps bits to keep me going.

This is how it looked at first, shit wheels from a previous bike, forks, bars & stem and crank set, it was awful to ride!

I then got myself a cheap Sugino crank set and stronglight chainring, half link chain, as well as some nice light carbon forks from eBay.

Once I had a bit more money got myself a Navigator Pista wheel set through Dolan's eBay store. Next on my list was to get rid of the horrible bar & stem set up.

Whipped a bmx stem on and opted for some Nitto risers, much more comfortable for me personally.

Grips were abit battered and the raw frame was looking neglected due to riding through winter and the salty wet roads. So purchased some Vans waffle grips, surprisingly comfortable.

Next on the list was a new paint job due to the winter beating, decided to go for a powder coated matt Nato / Military green colour, personally I love it, but yeah... Not everyone's cuppa!

Pretty happy with how it looks and rides now. Next jobs will be carbon aero seatpost, headset and possibly spray the stem matt black.

Apologies for the various image sizes >_<

    Thanks for looking!

  • Hater points:
Track ends + half link chain doesn't make a lot of sense to me
Your seat angle is a bit weird - should be dead flat (??)
Line up your tyre branding with the valves

On the flip side, I really like the colour and and forks. I'm waiting for delivery of an aero track frame myself - but I'm going to paint mine a much more disgusting colour!

    Nice decking.

  • Should've stopped here imo, but as you said, I'm just hating.

  • I like it.

My suggestions: Black stem, and level out your saddle. That can't be comfortable or good for your wrists.

  • A weeks worth of anti in one page.
    Well done.

  • haters gonna hate!

  • I do agree with BasJansen.. well atleast level your saddle ;)

  • sort out the saddle angle ;)

  • Really like the military look meself, but... that stem!

  • Cheers! Saddle has been sorted, as for the stem, its the best one out of dozens I tried! Going to spray it matt black tomorrow.

  • If the saddle have to be levelled like that to be comfortable, then it could be that it's a touch too high to start off with.

like everyone said - levelled it, if it's uncomfortable, lowered it a tiny bit, until it start to feel comfortable.

  • not come accross a clear powdercoat then?

On the topic of the saddle, I have to set mine to a somewhat jaunty angle (not quite as jaunty as his) due to a personal health issue. There are certain times when you should listen to your ballz, and this is one of those times...

  • Chunky BMX stem?

    raised eyebrow

it also again, implied you may need to lower the saddle a tad, I mean if you dipped that nose down a bit, then surely lowering it a tad achieve the same thing.

  • I love the colour, if it was mine I'd pop a less chunky black stem on but apart from that I think it looks pretty sweet and fun to ride!

  • Cheers mate, looks like the stem will be getting replaced as I've managed to crack it! Also bought a Carbon aero seatpost!

And yeah its a hell of a lot of fun to ride!

  • Given how little seat post is shown and the fact you need to lowered it a tad, it be interesting to see how you can fit the aero seat post in.

  • Line up your tyre branding with the valves like a boss

    Fair point. Fairly made.

  • Someone's already put this in Anti-Porn right?

  • I'm loving the NATO green.

Who said I need to lower it a tad? I've purchased an aero post and its the smallest Mike Burrows size they do so it shall fit in fine!

  • Someone's already put this in Anti-Porn right?

I hope not, that sure would hurt my feelings...

  • I'm loving the NATO green.

    Thanks :)

  • How the fuck did you snap that stem? It looks like it's made from an iron girder!
